MALAYSIA saw zero locally transmitted Covid-19 cases for the second day in a row today, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement.
However, the director-general of health said there were six imported cases, comprising five Malaysians and one permanent resident.
This brings the national tally to 8,683.
Meanwhile, 13 people recovered and were discharged from hospital as of noon today. This brings the total number of recoveries to 8,499 or 97.9% of the cumulative number of cases.
Active cases, on the other hand, stood at 63.
Two patients are currently warded in the intensive care unit, with one on respiratory support.
No deaths were reported today, keeping the death toll at 121. – July 9, 2020.
