DZULKIFLI Ahmad today waved away questions about the police investigation into his alleged affair with a married woman.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief had just ended his anti-corruption dialogue session with university students at Seri Pacific Hotel when reporters asked him about the probe.
But the former deputy public prosecutor kept walking and even raised his left arm to wave off the reporters, who asked if he had given his statement to the police.
Yesterday, Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said the police are in the final stages of their investigation into the MACC chief’s alleged extramarital affair.
Fuzi, however, declined to say whether Dzulkifli’s statement has been recorded.
“The investigation papers are in the final part (of completion). We are wrapping up the investigation soon,” he told reporters at the Police Training Centre in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
He declined to say why the investigation papers had been passed around several times between the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) and police.
This will be the third time investigation papers are being submitted to the AGC following the two previous submissions on October 17 and 30.
Dzulkifli is currently at the centre of controversy after a series of video clips surfaced, allegedly showing him on a holiday with a woman who is not his wife in Bali.
Police are investigating him under Section 498 of the Penal Code for enticing a married woman.
He has neither confirmed nor denied being the man in the clips and only said he would not bow down to ‘dirty tactics’.
The clips were uploaded anonymously in October but have since been taken down. β December 4, 2017.
