SIX Chini by-election voters, who displayed symptoms of Covid-19, tested negative, said Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

“So far none of them were detected as Covid-19 positive,” he told reporters in Putrajaya today.

Noor Hisham said they were isolated after experiencing symptoms such as cough and cold.

The six voters managed to cast their votes.

Ninety-eight voters during Saturday’s by-election were referred to treatment tents.

Noor Hisham had said on Saturday that voters who failed temperature checks and showed symptoms were allowed to cast their votes in a tent with special procedures.

“A total of 140 health workers were present at 13 polling centres to monitor the situation,” he added. – July 6, 2020.
