THE Health Ministry said 2,575 out of 60,298 foreigners tested have been infected with Covid-19.
Director-General of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the majority of positive cases reported today were foreigners.
“Nine cases are from the Pedas clusters in Negri Sembilan and Malacca.
“They have been quarantined after being infected by others.
“A total of 957 individuals were screened and so far 326 have tested positive. Out of that 312 are foreigners,” he said in a statement.
Dr Noor Hisham said considering that Malaysia has entered the recovery phase, various standard operating procedure (SOP) must be followed by foreign workers employers.
“Employers need to play their part in ensuring that the SOP is implemented properly and consistently and cooperate with MOH by taking steps to prevent the spread of Covid-19.” β June 28, 2020.
