CUSTOMERS will be allowed to access fitting rooms and try on clothes at the various shopping centres, said senior minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said the government has decided to allow it after no cases were detected from shopping centres.

“They can try on the clothes at the fitting rooms. There will be no issues of getting a large or small shirt.

“As for trying on shoes, we would encourage customers to bring their own socks,” he said at the ministry’s daily press conference in Putrajaya today.

He also clarified that tailors are allowed to open and also take customers measurements.

“There was a misconception, that’s why many tailor shops didn’t open. What we meant was fitting and testing out shoes was not allowed.

“But, now we have allowed for this to all open.” – June 26, 2020.
