AN adviser to a Johor parliamentarian has been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for making a false claim.
An MACC source said the adviser, who is a Datuk and company director, claimed RM58,000 for food for an event at the service centre which was never held last year.
The suspect was arrested today, the source said.
“Investigation is under Section 18 of the MACC Act and the suspect will be brought to the magistrate’s court tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow.”
Kuala Lumpur MACC director Razaliah Abdul Rahman when contacted confirmed the arrest but declined to reveal the details. – June 16, 2020.
