PRIME Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and those who attended a post-cabinet meeting with a person infected with Covid-19 can resume work tomorrow after their 14-day quarantine ends today, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The director general of health said that they have all been tested negative for Covid-19.

“They can go back to the office. So far there was a good response… none of them were positive and the officer that was infected is recovering,” he said at the ministry’s daily press conference in Putrajaya today.

Last month, several senior civil servants were tested for Covid-19 and quarantined after coming into close contact with the ill official at the post-cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Muhyiddin was tested after coming into contact with the officer, and the result was negative.

Also present at the meeting was Chief Secretary to the Government Mohd Zuki Ali, Attorney-General Idrus Harun, Auditor-General Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief Azam Baki. – June 3, 2020.
