FORTY-SEVEN new Covid-19 cases and 44 recoveries were reported overnight, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

He said of the 47 new infections, 21 were imported or contracted overseas.

Coronavirus cases now total 6,941.

Of these, 5,615 have recovered, for a recovery rate of 80.9%.

“Currently, there are 13 patients in intensive care, six of whom require respiratory support,” he said.

Noor Hisham said there were no deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

The death toll remains at 113. – May 18, 2020.
