SARAWAK Deputy Chief Minister I Douglas Uggah Embas dismissed as “fake news” the viral social media posting that said he recently had a “heated clash” with James Masing over the controversial native customary rights (NCR) land issue.

“So stop spreading it,” Uggah said when asked about the Facebook post by a “Joe Tawie” after launching the Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) homestay website in Kuching today.

“James (Masing) has also denied it. So stop the fake news,” he said as a small non-aligned Dayak party, Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru, claimed the “feud” had thrown the Dayaks into a dilemma.

Masing yesterday dismissed the posting as speculative. – November 24, 2017.
