RESIDENTS of Menara City One condominium near Jalan Masjid India who have been left out of Covid-19 tests are encouraged to come forward and get screened, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.

“When we do screening, we will go from apartment to apartment and ensure that the residents are registered,” he said.

“Maybe one or two might have been left out. We encourage them to come forward to be screened,” he added during his daily press briefing today.

A small group of residents in the condominium have yet to be tested for Covid-19, nearly a month since the building was locked down on March 31, a residents’ committee member told The Malaysian Insight earlier today.

The committee member, who asked for anonymity, blamed the situation on the language barrier, lack of communications and poor data collection by the authorities.

However, she said only a fraction of residents have not been screened, adding that the management had rounded up most of them for a test on April 23, almost three weeks after the enhanced movement-control order was enforced on the building. – April 27, 2020.
