MALAYSIA today reported 95 Covid-19 recoveries, more than double the number of new cases reported.
Director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of patients who have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital stands at 3,957.
This brings the total rate of recoveries to 67.9%.
He said 40 new cases were reported today, bringing the total number of cases to 5,820.
Noor Hisham said there was one death reported over the past 24 hours, bringing the national death toll to 99.
The victim was a 78-year-old stroke survivor who suffered from diabetes and had high blood pressure.
He was admitted to the Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor on April 7 and died this morning at 4.31am. – April 27, 2020.
