THE Health Ministry said it has tested 21,466 people in areas under an enhanced movement control order, with 638 cases testing positive for Covid-19.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the total, 388 cases involve foreigners while the rest are Malaysians.
“At Menara City One, there is one new case, taking the total number of cases to 52 cases.
“At Malayan Mansion, there are five new cases, taking the total to 12, and in Northern Kuala Lumpur, there are nine new cases, bringing the total to 55,” he told the ministry’s daily press conference in Putrajaya today.
Selangor Mansion and the nearby Malayan Mansion in the Masjid India area were placed under EMCO on April 7 after 15 Covid-19 cases were detected there.
About 5,000 people living in the 365 residential units in lockdown.
At Menara City One, the EMCO started on March 31 along Jalan Munshi Abdullah, involving 3,200 residents in 502 units.
Dr Noor Hisham said 100 patients have recovered from Covid-19 and been discharged from hospitals, a figure nearly triple that of the 38 new cases reported over the past 24 hours.
He also said that there were no reported deaths from the coronavirus during that time period, with the cumulative death toll remaining 98.
Dr Noor Hisham also said 3,862 people have recovered from the virus, while the accumulated number of cases is now 5,780. – April 26, 2020.
