A TOTAL of 121 patients have recovered from Covid-19 and discharged from hospitals as of noon today, exceeding the number of new cases at 88, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The director-general of health said the total number of recoveries now stand at 3,663 while the accumulated number of cases is 5,691. Of this, 13 are imported cases.
Meanwhile, there was one new death reported, with the death toll now at 96.
The deceased was a 61-year-old man who had travelled to Indonesia. The man who was receiving treatment at the Sg Buloh Hospital also had a history of chronic illness.
He was admitted on March 31 and died at 2.29am today.
Active cases nationwide now number 1,932.
Currently, there are 41 patients in the intensive care unit, of whom 18 require respiratory support. β April 24, 2020.
