THE “hero” of Malaysia’s fight against Covid-19, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, who turns 57 today, was celebrated by the media fraternity.
Media personnel covering the daily press conference by the health director-general in Putrajaya took the opportunity to present him with cakes and sang Happy Birthday to him.
The ever humble doctor then expressed his appreciation to his colleagues fighting the pandemic alongside him.
Birthday greetings have also poured in on social media for Dr Noor Hisham.
Speaking to Bernama on the eve of his birthday, Dr Noor Hisham said yesterday Malaysians adhering to precautionary measures would be the most special gift to him.
“On the occasion of my birthday tomorrow, April 21, the most special gift for me would be if Malaysians continue to stay home and have high hygiene standards,” he had said. – April 21, 2020.
