STATES which do not report any new Covid-19 infections within a span of 14 days can be reclassified as green states, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.

“If within 14 days there are no cases then we can perhaps consider those states as green states,” he said at his daily press briefing today.

Perlis (18), Terengganu (106), Penang (119), Malacca (147), Kelantan (154), Perak (250), Sabah (285) as well as the Federal Territories of Putrajaya(54) and Labuan (12) reported zero new cases as of 12pm on April 15.

Penang, Terengganu and Perlis have yet to report any red zones thus far.

Red zones are areas with more than 40 cases, orange zone (20 to 40 cases), yellow zone (one to 19 cases) and green zone (no case).

Noor Hisham also reiterated the need to protect green zones and keep them free of infections.
