Health D-G says no new cases from 5 virus clusters

THERE are no new cases reported across five Covid-19 clusters, said Director-General of Health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today.

The five in question are the Bangi wedding cluster, “Italy patient” cluster in Sarawak, Sarawak church cluster, Rembau cluster and “Bali” cluster in Kuantan.

On the Sri Petaling tabligh cluster, Dr Noor Hisham said 24,605 samples have been taken, and of the total, 1,904 returned positive and 20,122 negative.

Most places under the enhanced movement-control order, such as Kluang, Malayan Mansion and Menara City One, also registered no fresh cases.

However, Hulu Langat recorded 11 new infections, and Selangor Mansion, one, Dr Noor Hisham told a daily press briefing on the coronavirus.

As of today, there are 83 cases at Selangor Mansion and four at Malayan Mansion.

Malaysia has so far registered 4,987 infections with 82 deaths.

Dr Noor Hisham also said a new Covid-19 cluster has been detected in Sendayan, Negri Sembilan. – April 14, 2020.
