PONTIAN MP Ahmad Maslan is Umno’s new secretary-general.

He replaces Annuar Musa, who was appointed Federal Territories minister in the new Perikatan Nasional Cabinet earlier this week.

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who announced this today, also said Umno Youth vice-chief Shahril Hamdan will be appointed the new information chief.

Shahril replaces Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, who was appointed energy and natural resources minister.

These changes were decided at the Umno Supreme Council meeting today.

Also appointed to the council is Mohd Rais Mohd Yasin, said Zahid. – March 12, 2020.
