Haniff Khatri to quit Perda after federal government change

LAWYER Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla is set to resign as chairman of the Penang Regional Development Authority (Perda) on Friday.

He said today that he was relinquishing the appointment under the previous government so that the new Perikatan Nasional administration could appoint another candidate.

“This Friday, I will submit a letter and return the post to the federal government,” Haniff said in a video message posted on YouTube.

Hanif was appointed to the post on January 5 last year. – March 11, 2020.
