No reasons were given but it is speculated that she has stepped down due to the change of government in Putrajaya.
Latheefa was appointed by the previous Pakatan Harapan government under Dr Mahathir Mohamad for a two-year term beginning June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2021. – March 5, 2020.
