ONE more Covid-19 patient has fully recovered and been discharged from the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star, bringing the total number of recoveries to 18, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
The patient is a 40-year-old Malaysian female, who was confirmed to have the infection on February 5.
She was the 13th case to test positive for the coronavirus in Malaysia.
There are now four cases till being treated in the hospital. All four are in stable condition.
As of today, the Health Ministry reported 22 Covid-19 cases in Malaysia.
“Out of these, 20 cases were imported, i.e. cases with histories of travel or living overseas, particularly from China.
“The remaining two cases are family members of one of the imported cases, who is a Malaysian,” he said.
The virus has left 78,000 infected worldwide with more than 2,000 fatalities.
Majority of the cases are in China. – February 23, 2020.
