EMBATTLED Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Dzulkifli Ahmad should be allowed to carry out his duty, said Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Zahid, who is also Home Minister, said he couldn’t answer whether the allegations against Dzulkifli were true, as details about the series of video clips alleging his involvement in an extramarital affair were still unknown.

“He should be given the chance to serve as MACC chief commissioner.

“Don’t assassinate his character,” he said in Dewan Rakyat today while winding up the Budget 2018 debate.

The Bagan Datoh MP also said the matter had been passed to the Attorney-General’s Chambers for further action.

He was responding to questions by Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo who asked why there was no decision made on the matter and if Dzulkifli was the man in the videos.

On October 16, a special task force was set up to monitor the investigations into the alleged offence under Section 498 of the Penal Code and other related offences.

Section 498 refers to enticing a married woman with the intent of having illicit intercourse. Those found guilty face up to two years’ jail, a fine, or both.

Attorney-General Mohamed Apandi Ali said the Attorney-General’s Chambers had received numerous queries from the public relating to the reports lodged against the MACC chief.

Inspector-General of Police Fuzi Harun announced last month the police were investigating the allegation against the MACC chief.

A series of video clips had surfaced showing Dzulkifli with a woman holding hands and entering a restaurant in Bali.

The clips were uploaded anonymously on YouTube.

The woman in question has said her recent divorce had nothing to do with Dzulkifli. – November 8, 2017

Furthermore, his scandal , clearly admitted thier wrongdoings, theor dosa. Rakyat want stern action taken against Zul, and why KSN keeping mumm all these while?
