M. INDIRA Gandhi will only be happy when she is reunited with her lost daughter Prasana Diksa.

The pining mother said this when slamming Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador over the police’s continued failure to locate her ex-husband and Prasana.

“Even if he (IGP) knows where Prasana is, she is still not in my arms,” she said in a press conference today.

Hamid yesterday said the police knew the whereabouts of Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, Indira’s former husband, and urged him to come forward.

The top cop also came under fire for saying that the case would have a “happy ending”, said both father and mother have the right to access Prasana.

Indira, a former kindergarten teacher, said the separation of more than 11 years from her youngest child has been tearing her apart.

She urged Hamid to find and return as soon as possible 11-year-old Prasana who was snatched away by her Muslim convert Riduan more than a decade ago.

Indira said Hamid’s revelation is shocking, adding the she doesn’t know what he meant by a win-win situation or a happy ending.

She also said there are no records of Prasana going to school or being immunised.

Meanwhile, Indra Gandhi Action Team (Ingat) chairman Arun Doraisamy questioned the police on why Prasana’s case was not classified as that of a missing child and why Ridhuan’s second wife was not placed under a watch list.

He said it is the IGP’s duty and moral obligation to enforce court orders and should not further complicate the matter.

He added that no investigation papers are opened despite 24 police reports being lodged between March 2009 and last July.

The group also does not have updates on the progress the special taskforce have made in terms of locating Prasana. – February 1, 2020.
