Pakatan can discuss DAP’s no action against Ronnie Liu, says Syed Saddiq

DAP’S decision not to act against its central exco member Ronnie Liu for criticising Bersatu and its leaders can be discussed at the Pakatan Harapan (PH) presidential council meeting after the Tg Piai by-election, said Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Syed Saddiq, who is Bersatu Youth chief, said the focus now is to ensure PH candidate Karmaine Sardini wins the Tg Piai by-election this Saturday.

“What is most important now is to focus on the by-election.

“Whatever issues we want to raise, we can bring it up later at the Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting,” Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.

Yesterday, the DAP disciplinary committee said no action would be taken against Liu over his criticism of Bersatu chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his reluctance to hand over the prime ministership to PKR president Anwar Ibrahim.

Liu was then referred to the DAP disciplinary board after some Bersatu leaders, including Syed Saddiq, called for severe action.

DAP’s decision not to take action against Liu came just days after Bersatu decided not to take action against Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu for his remarks against DAP leaders. – November 13, 2019.

  • What are you talking about, Syed Saddiq? Since GE14, Bersatu has caused many problems for PH. We are sometimes 'shocked' with the performance of Bersatu.
