DAY 67 and still no sign of Pastor Raymond Koh, but that did not stop more than 600 people from turning up at a vigil in Miri, Sarawak, yesterday.

The vigils, which have been held in various places in the Klang Valley and in Kota Kinabalu, raise awareness of the disappearance of the pastor in February.

At last night’s vigil at the Mei Ann Methodist Church in Miri, Koh’s wife Susanna Liew said she was determined to remain strong while clinging on to the hope that he was still alive and would return home.

Liew and daughter Esther had flown to Miri “to thank” those who had lent the family support during a time Liew has described to be “harrowing”.

Her husband was reported to be abducted on Feb 13 while driving in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Liew told the crowd she was still trying to understand why her “simple and religious” husband had been abducted.

“There is no justification for abducting someone like him violently because Malaysia is a nation of law and order. I pray that the police will do their job.”

Those at the vigil also prayed for three others who have been reported missing – Perlis Hope welfare organisation founder, Amri Che Mat and Pastor Joshua Hilmy and his wife, Ruth. – April 22, 2017.
