POLICE have received a report against Prof emeritus Zainal Kling, the man behind the Malay Dignity Congress held in Shah Alam last Sunday.

Bukit Aman CID chief Huzir Mohamed said Zainal, who is chief executive of the congress secretariat, was accused of making statements that could cause racial tension.

“The case is being investigated under the Section 505b of Penal Code for causing public mischief and the Communications and Multimedia Act,” Huzir told a press conference today.

Zainal gave the opening speech at the congress, in which he said non-Malays were challenging the “social contract” that allowed immigrants in pre-Independence days citizenship of Malaya, as well as challenging the Malay rulers and the special position of the Malays.

Yesterday, it was reported that a police report had been lodged against Zainal by Penang Society for Tamil Advancement activist Yoganathan Loganathan at Seberang Prai police headquarters.

Yoganathan said he lodged the report after reading about Zainal’s speech on news portals. – October 9, 2019.

  • If I were the IGP, I will put this below par intelligence professor to jail at all cost. What a kangkong professor, purposely stir up a racial issue that was not true. No wonder MU was in stagnancy status for decades. How can a professor release a untrue statement to simply isolate and divide the nation in the good names of his race in expense of other races? Every Malaysian should regconise this professor face and call him for a debate. I may call him kangkong professor right in front of his face.

  • Let this Zainal Kling say whatever he needs to say. But we all know when it the things said or decision made doesn't make any sense, it will eventually crumble and crumble fast. Like like Utusan and soon also Donald Trump.

There is no need to arrest him because we all know well how these kind of arrest can be used to silence opposition.
