A POLICEMAN was killed, while three others – including two children – were injured when their car slid off the road and into the river, after colliding with a lorry on Jalan Kampung Teluk Binasa, Gunung Keriang, Alor Setar, this evening.

Kedah fire and rescue department assistant operations director Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain said Khairul Izat Romli, 34, was pinned in his seat and died at the scene.

“Two children and a woman received injuries to the head and legs,” he said in a statement today.

He said the victim’s body has been handed over to police for further action, while the injured victims were taken to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) for treatment. – Bernama, September 25, 2019.
