SIX of the 14 scheduled flights at Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS) in Ipoh were cancelled this morning due to haze.
LTSAS manager Mohd Ali Osman said AirAsia flights Johor Baru-Ipoh-Singapore and Singapore-Ipoh-Johor Baru and FlyScoot flights Singapore-Ipoh-Singapore were cancelled due to poor visibility.
“Visibility was 2,000 metres as of 7am today,” he said in a statement here.
He said 747 passengers were affected.
As of 8am, the air pollutant index (API) at all five stations in Perak is in the unhealthy range.
An API reading of 0-50 indicates good air quality; 51-100, moderate; 101-200, unhealthy; 201-300, very unhealthy; and above 300, hazardous. – Bernama, September 22, 2019.
