A Selangor PKR member has filed a complaint to its disciplinary board for action to be taken against Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak for publicly calling Mohamed Azmin Ali a homosexual.
Former Selangor deputy information chief K. Gunasekaran, who was accompanied by four supporters, said the Perak PKR chief should not have made any statement disrespecting the deputy president and the party.
“The police have already said that Azmin is not identified as the person in the video… When he shouted Azmin semburit yesterday, that is an offence.
Gunasekaran said the party has taken action before, including the sacking of former political aide Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, who is at the centre of the sex video scandal.
“We want action to be taken to show that there is discipline in this party,” he said, adding that he will give the board up to 90 days to view his letter of complaint and to consider the action it will take.
Gunasekaran declined to say what action he was seeking, whether it was sacking or suspension. He also said he does represent any faction.

Farhash, who is also the political secretary to PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, yesterday made a fiery speech to his supporters after he was released by police for his alleged links to the sex video scandal.
He ended his speech by shouting “Anwar for PM” and “Azmin semburit”, which was repeated by the crowd. “Semburit” means sexual acts between two men.
He also accused police of not being professional in the sex video investigation.
“I don’t look like Azmin. Why can’t they just call me and have my statement recorded? They chose to detain me like some murderer.”
Describing his arrest as a “political conspiracy” against Anwar, Farhash then challenged Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador to bring in Azmin.
Farhash was among nine people who were remanded for investigation into the sex clips allegedly involving Azmin and Haziq.
Haziq, who was released yesterday alongside Farhash, had confessed to being one of the men in the video.
He had named Azmin as the other man, a claim strongly denied by the PKR deputy president. – July 24, 2019.
