CONSUMERS will enjoy better protection from unfair market practices and financial fraud under the Consumer Credit Act to be tabled this year, said Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“The tabling of the act will be expedited to protect the interest of consumers and to encourage a healthy credit market,” he said in his keynote address at the launch of the National Strategy for Financial Literacy 2019-2023 today.

The act allows users to obtain fair treatment when dealing with credit givers. – July 23, 2019.
