NURUL Izzah Anwar has stood her ground on calling Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad a dictator, saying that it was not a big deal as she had said so on many different occasions before.

The Permatang Pauh MP said her remarks were factual according to her knowledge.

“It’s factual from my record. I said it before elections (GE14), said it during demonstration in Bersih 3.0 and Bersih 4.0

“I don’t understand why saying it in a different forum (in an interview with Singapore’s Straits Times) containing the same message is problematic,” she said at the Parliament lobby today.

Nurul Izzah had described Dr Mahathir as a former dictator who caused much damage to her family and the nation in an interview with the daily.

She also said she is “heartbroken” by Pakatan Harapan’s slow delivery of its promised reforms.

In the interview, Nurul Izzah also said this will be her last term as an MP.

When asked about it, she said that she will cross the bridge when it comes.

“Let’s cross the bridge when we reach it. I want to always contribute in any way I can.

“Thats why I contested. I’m a firm believer that we can certainly exact change through different ways.” – March 26, 2019.

  • It does not mean what you want you will get it. u are not the only Decision maker in the Government look at the bigger picture of the country and people it took time to fight the dirty politics play by Scented mind leaders if you dont support your present PM and Leadership in the Government that you are in then, Just Leave do make a Mockery of it. Your actions is yours not with the support of the people you Represent or the party u are in. U think when your father becomes the PM n if u are still a MP would u act in this manner. What ever that has happens there are reasons to it knowing no one is Perfect. If you can leave with what that has happened in the past then you are not strong enough to be in politics your stand all this time is about politics. Go do what that will make u happy but get out of politics.
