ONLY Muhammad Aiman Zainali can fufil election promises to Semenyih folk, said Dr Mahathir Mohamad when stumping for the Pakatan Harapan candidate last night.

The PH chairman and prime minister said this is because Aiman is part of the ruling pact.

“What promises can the opposition party (Umno) fufil? They merely make promises. But if Aiman wins, he can fufil all his promises.

“We are in the government, so we can help our members,” said Dr Mahathir at a mega ceramah held at Tesco’s Semenyih outlet, which was attended by some 2,000 people.

He said Barisan Nasional lynchpin Umno has disintegrated, and so, will not be able to meet its obligations.

“It would be for nothing if the people choose BN. That’s why it is important to choose a good candidate.”

Taking a jab at Umno, Dr Mahathir extended his condolences to the “dead” party.

He also took aim at Najib Razak and the latter’s supporters, who have given the former prime minister the moniker “bossku”.

“The word ‘boss’ was used by African slaves to address their white masters in America. So, when they say ‘bossku’, that means they are equating themselves to slaves.

“We have already achieved Merdeka. There is no slavery here.”

Earlier yesterday, Dr Mahathir asked how a thief like Najib could be a boss.

“We have ‘Bossku’, the hero, the thief. That’s the boss of them,” he said of Najib’s backers.

The Semenyih by-election is a four-way fight between PH, BN, Parti Sosialis Malaysia and an independent. Polling will be held tomorrow. – March 1, 2019.

  • as long as money is still there they are far from dead and PH better make some wise moves by outlining how they are going to deliver their manifesto pledges. rome was built a day, agreed, PH inherited messy bools, agreed, PH need time, agreed, PH can't deliver all in one time, agreed but PH must come a clear statement of how and when it can deliver while those that it can't deliver can't be push under the carpet it must explain why it can make it good and what are the alternative approach to it.
