WITH only 48 hours to go, Semenyih voters should not be fooled by “Bossku” and Umno’s propaganda, said Mohamad Azmin Ali. 

Since the start of the campaign period, Umno has been spreading all kinds of lies to woo Semenyih voters, the economic affairs minister said while campaigning in Kg Runching yesterday.

“The propaganda they are spewing is that Pakatan Harapan is controlled by DAP. 

“This is too much. Umno is still playing on racial sentiments.”

The people rejected Umno at the last elections because they are thieves and racists, he said.

“When we took over, the country’s debt was RM1 trillion. We are not the ones that racked up the debt, it is Bossku. 

“They (Barisan Nasional administration) are the ones that owe the country but we have to pay. How, can the people support them?”

Former prime minister Najib Razak, who used the “Malu apa bossku” (What’s there to be ashamed of, boss) tag to great effect at the Cameron Highlands by-election, drew a crowd of 500 at his first appearance in Semenyih.

At Najib’s ceramah, groups surround him, demanding selfies with the former BN chairman.

Azmin said Semenyih folk should not fall for Najib’s tricks as he is looking for sympathy. Najib faces more than 40 charges linked to state investor 1Malaysia Development Bhd.

“Previously, he never came here but when it’s time for elections, he is here. All the problems faced by this country are his fault but we have to carry the burden.”

Umno is welcome to campaign but voters must not be swayed by its propaganda and lies, Azmin said.

“They want to destroy the unity we have in Selangor. We want to send this message to Najib and his team that we are united. 

“We don’t have much time so I plead with the people to remain strong and hold on to their principles and stay put by voting for Pakatan.” – February 28, 2019.
