PAKATAN Harapan members have filed a police report over Barisan Nasional allegedly appropriating a Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) community hall to use as base for the Cameron Highlands by-election.
Jelai PH election operations deputy chief Arvind Bharet, who lodged the report at the Sungai Koyan police station, said his team found a BN flag inside the hall, which is located next to an Umno branch office in the Sungai Koyan 3 Felda settlement.
“The Umno office and the JKKK hall are always open and only those who are connected to the party are allowed to enter the premises, not the public.
“In fact, we were made to understand that the hall was converted into an operations centre (for the by-election),” he said.
He said BN volunteers have been seen going in and out of the building since Monday.
Arvind said government infrastructure should never be used for the purposes of campaigning and called on the Election Commission, police, and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate. β January 16, 2019.
