BELURAN MP Ronald Kiandee will leave it to Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to decide whether he should remain as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chair.

Kiandee said it would not be fair to the PAC if he were to resign now.

“This is Parliament off season and it would not be fair if I were to resign now,” he said.

Kiandee said this after announcing he was quitting Umno today to strike out as an independent MP friendly to the Pakatan Harapan government.

Kiandee was appointed PAC chairman on August 7 after his name was proposed by de facto law minister Liew Vui Keong. – December 12, 2018.
