ROSMAH Mansor has been told to present herself at the Kuala Lumpur sessions courts tomorrow after she was questioned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today.
She left the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 2.35pm, almost three hours after arriving at 11.40am this morning.
Her lawyer K. Kumaraendran said MACC recorded Rosmah’s statement today and requested her to be present at the courts at 3pm tomorrow. He did not say what charges she may face.
“Anything related to the charges, you will have to wait for tomorrow,” he added.
Rosmah and her former aide, Rizal Mansor, are expected to face new charges of abuse of public funds relating to a Sarawak solar-energy project for rural schools.
The last time the wife of former prime minister Najib Razak was at the MACC was on October 3.
The anti-graft agency had hauled in Rosmah to question her on alleged money laundering.
She was charged then charged with 17 counts of alleged misappropriation of funds related to 1Malaysia Development Bhd.
In a statement later, MACC said the Attorney-General’s Chambers has given its consent to prosecute Rosmah and Rizal.
“Both will be charged jointly in several cases at the Kuala Lumpur sessions court at 2.30pm tomorrow, relating to solar power supply and installation projects in schools in Sarawak.” – November 14, 2018.
