DEPUTY Defence Minister Liew Chin Tong retained his post as Johor DAP chief for the 2018-2020 term in state party elections today.

Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching is the state DAP deputy chief, while Ramakrishnan a/l Suppiah and Tan Chen Choon are vice-presidents.

They were elected by 441 Johor delegates who chose the state committee’s 15 office-bearers in Johor Baru today.

Tan Hong Pin is the state DAP secretary, Ee Chin Li the treasurer and Ng Yak Howe the state organising secretary.

Paloh assemblyman Sheikh Omar Bagharib Ali is the only Malay in the state leadership and is the publicity secretary.

Cheo Yee How was elected state director of political education.

Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin was elected a committee member, along with Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi, Pekan Nenas assemblyman Yeo Tung Siong, Johor Jaya rep Liow Cai Tung, Dr Boo Cheng How, Penggaram assemblyman Gan Peck Cheng and Lim Eng Guan. – November 11, 2018.
