DESPITE winning just five of the 22 divisions in Sarawak that voted in the PKR polls today, Rafizi Ramli is not conceding defeat just yet.

The deputy president candidate said there is still a lot at stake, downplaying the early results from today’s elections that show his rival, Mohamed Azmin Ali, having a lead of 1,350 votes in the state.

“We have to wait for the final results,” said Rafizi, adding that there are 4,000 dubious votes that still need to be verified.

He also cited the suspended polls in Julau, where he said he had been on course to pick up 3,000 votes.

“It’s big (the dubious votes), and they are still up for validation. Until the dubious votes have been verified, it would be premature to call the results,” he told reporters in Julau.

“The results are as expected, but there have been concerns with Julau because the division has the capacity to outdo all the other divisions combined.

“I think I won four or five, I can’t remember, but Azmin’s win margin is very small.

“The voting in Sarawak has always been about the Julau division – how big the turnout would be, the margin I could get, whether it could outdo the whole of Sarawak, whether it could cover the losses in some other states.

“It’s a pity because we will never know.”

Unofficial results show Azmin taking 16 of the 22 divisions, and Rafizi winning Serian, Kapit, Miri, Sibuti and Limbang. – November 10, 2018.

  • obviously the rigged membership of julau was intended to help you win and now when you are left behind you create chaos so that the voting will be suspended . This looks like purposely designed so that when all the votes are in today you will know exactly how much ground you neef to make up and drive the required numbers of dubious members out in julau on the re- poll so that you and your allies can win. Gerrymandering the modern way
