TAWAU PKR chief Kong Hong Ming has opposed the revote for his division this Sunday, saying claims that a commotion had broken out there on November 3 was unfounded.
He said Sabah PKR chief Christina Liew’s claim that last week’s vote in Tawau was tainted by a fracas due to the huge number of members turning up to vote was false.
However, Kong said his camp was prepared for any challenges and vowed to gain a larger majority this weekend.
“She was not telling the truth and had given conflicting statements to the media over the November 3 polls.
“There had been no fracas during the election and all divisional chief candidates and representatives from the central election committee (JPP) made no objections to the voting process,” he said.
On Wednesday, JPP chairman Rashid Din called for a fresh round of voting in Tawau, Keningau and Pensiangan as these divisions had been beset by problems during polling.
Kong said a revote in Tawau was inappropriate and unfair, and appeared to punish PKR members who came out to vote there.
“We oppose the JPP’s decision and we will defend our integrity and will never surrender. However, we accept any challenges positively and are confident of getting a larger majority,” he said. – November 9, 2018.

To call for a revote requires a thorough investigation because you are altering the voting results of the first outcome..
Again it seems that if a person of position and power were to complain about fracas in s certain constituency, a revote is immediately called for.
What if Christina and Rashid are working hand in glove? How do you know if there is abuse or not?
What is the reason for the complaint by the Tawau PKR Chief?
PKR election process is questionable and lacks integrity.
