HISHAMMUDDIN Hussein says he is determined to hunt down wanted businessman Low Taek Jho as he wants closure on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

The former defence minister said he is already in contact with his connections in China and would pay for the expenses of finding Low out of his own pocket.

“If we want to move forward, there must be some closure about 1MDB. If everybody agrees that Jho Low is critical to find a solution and closure for this 1MDB issue, I will help,” Hishamuddin told reporters when met at the Parliament lobby today, referring to Low with his monicker.

“This is a personal issue. It is all on my own expense. I will cooperate with the inspector-general of police who has made an earlier statement that he will welcome any efforts I can contribute,” he said.

Last week, Hishammuddin said he offered to tap Beijing connections made during his years as defence minister to help find Low.

The former Umno vice-president said he had forged close connections with several Chinese leaders during his time as a cabinet member, and stressed that his offer was purely for the sake of seeking truth and justice. – October 30, 2018.

  • What a show????? Why does it not cross your mind when your cousin was the PM that you should have insis on the actions for a closure. Is there an agreement between you and PPBM to show case some job done to smoothen your registration into the party. Just do it openly rather than all the hypocrisy. Malaysia is a bolih land and everyone are free to do what they like if it is within the rule of law determine by the one who has the gold..

  • for such matter one should be discreet first and foremost. though you may have the web network bear in mind that you are accessing to another country resources which may not jive well with the higher ups since its on a personal capacity. second by highlighting that you are doing this don't you think you have already give the fat boy an advance notice allowing him to up his hide and seek move. third now that you have declared you action is on personal basis using your own money, isn't that create a risk to your family members should the fat boy react in a certain way against you. spy operative works very quietly behind the scene as I am sure we only knows about hasanah's unit post May 9. Forth most Malaysian still consider you as trying to wriggle your way through the new Malaysia as we asking ourselves what is it in for him and you can not blame me or others for thinking that way cause that's the DNA of dumno, closure yes, bring fat boy to the front yes but your action is still a big question marks over our heads.
