FORMER deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya after he was issued a notice to present himself by the graft busters yesterday.

The Umno president arrived at precisely 3pm in a white land cruiser wearing a colourful batik shirt.

He was accompanied by his lawyers to assist in the probe.

This is Zahid’s sixth appearance at the anti-graft agency.

According to UMNO supreme council member, Lokman Noor Adam Zahid could be detained at MACC tonight and charged this Friday. However, there was no sign of Lokman at the venue when Zahid arrived.

Last week, Zahid was grilled for three consecutive days, believed to be in connection with a family-run charitable foundation, Yayasan Akal Budi, which he chairs.

As of 3pm, around 40 supporters had gathered outside the MACC building to show solidarity for the Bagan Datoh member of parliament. – October 18, 2018.
