AHMAD Zahid Hamidi will continue to be questioned tomorrow by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission after finishing nine hours with the anti-graft agency today.
The Umno president left the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at 6.15pm and thanked the media for waiting patiently for him.
On whether he would return for another round of questioning tomorrow, he first nodded and then confirmed that he would be back.
“I will be coming again,” Zahid told reporters who had set up camp at the premises since early this morning.
The former deputy prime minister also said he had been given the freedom to choose what time to appear at the MACC.
“The time is upon my request,” he said.
In July, the MACC had questioned Zahid twice in relation to a charitable organisation he had set up – the Akal Budi Foundation.
It was reported that RM800,000 had been allegedly misappropriated from the foundation to pay off Zahid and his wife’s credit card bills.
Zahid had said that the issue was due to a mistake. – October 11, 2018.
