SABAH chief minister Shafie Apdal will raise the matter of cooperation in the automotive industry when he meets his Sarawak counterpart Abang Johari Abang Openg today.
“We must share with our brothers in Sarawak. We can no longer operate in silo and that cooperation between the Borneo states must be enhanced,” he said ahead of his trip to Kuching.
The Warisan leader is due to meet Abang Johari this afternoon.
Shafie said cooperation between both states has existed for some years, particularly in the cement industry, when met at the graduation ceremony of Yayasan Sabah Technical College.
He said one way of furthering links was for Sabah and Sarawak to collaborate in the production of automotive components.
