VIETNAM won the AFF Suzuki Cup title for the second time by defeating Malaysia 1-0 in the second leg of the final at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi tonight.
Vietnam won 3-2 on aggregate, with Nguyen Anh Duc scoring the only goal of the match in the sixth minute.
Vietnam had also lifted the trophy in 2008.
Both teams had shared the spoils in the first final leg after a 2-2 draw at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on December 11. – December 15, 2018.
