TAMAN Rimba Kiara (TRK) longhouse residents in Kuala Lumpur are hoping to get 200 of new townhouse units on their 1.6ha land after winning a hard-fought lawsuit at the Federal court.

The residents have come to a consensus that townhouses should be built for their 98 families after living in squalid conditions in their wooden longhouses for 42 years.

TRK longhouse resident association chairman M. Sivakumar said that a work in progress with Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh is currently underway to construct the 200 units. – May 6, 2023.
