India cops seize RM114 million in Malaysia-bound ecstasy


POLICE in the Indian state of Kerala seized illegal drugs worth two billion rupees (RM114 million) bound for Malaysia, local media reported.

Thirty kilogrammes of ecstasy concealed in 64 packets covered with carbon paper were seized during a raid on a courier company’s office in the city of Kochi yesterday.

Initial investigations showed the packets were bound for Malaysia and were sent by an international smuggling racket.

The raid was carried out following a tip-off. Police are trying to find the source of the packets. – Bernama, September 30, 2018.
