Internet cable accidentally cut, flight delays expected, says AirAsia boss

SEVERAL flight delays are expected today at klia2 after a Malaysia Airports contractor accidentally cut an internet cable, said AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes.

“A Malaysia Airports contractor has cut through our internet pipe and that is going to cause us delays as we have to turn on disaster recovery. Which will take 3 hours. Cannot understand how this happens,” he tweeted.

Apart from AirAsia, budget airlines operating out of klia2 include Cebu Pacific, Jetstar Asia, Tiger Air and JC Cambodia International Airlines. – July 19, 2018.
