TRANSPORT Minister Anthony Loke said the full report on missing flight MH370 will be disclosed to the public once cabinet has been consulted.

The report was at its last phase and will be tabled to the public later, he said.

“I promise that the final report will be announced with full disclosure. There was no full report before. There was only an interim report. The full report is being completed now and it is the last phase,” Loke said at a press conference today.

The Seremban lawmaker also said the search for the Malaysia Airlines jet, which disappeared on March 8, 2014, will end on May 29 after private company, Ocean Infinity Ltd, concludes its search.

“The extension is until May 29. We have yet to receive any other offer,” Loke said, referring to additional offers to continue the search.

The Boeing 777 with 239 people on board disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

An Australian-led international search mission was suspended in January last year after investigators finished scouring a 120,000 sq km search area determined via a satellite analysis of the plane’s trajectory.

Malaysia agreed to pay Ocean Infinity on a “no-find, no-fee” basis, whereby the American firm would get paid only if it finds either the location of the aircraft’s wreckage or its flight recorder within 90 days. – May 28, 2018.
