THE Health Ministry reported 902 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing the cumulative number of infections since the start of the pandemic to 5,022,144. 

Six Covid-19 fatalities were logged, of which three were declared dead on arrival. The deaths were in Selangor (3), Kedah (1), Penang (1), and Putrajaya (1). 

Of the new infections, Selangor posted the higher number of cases with 365, followed by Kuala Lumpur (91), Sarawak (76), Penang (53), Kedah (48), Malacca (46), Perak (42), Negri Sembilan (39), Putrajaya (34), Sabah (29), Pahang (24), Johor (23), Kelantan (16), Terengganu (10), Labuan (4), and Perlis (2). – December 24, 2022.
