Singapore to extend Woodlands Checkpoint to alleviate congestion


Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority will extend Woodlands Checkpoint beyond Old Woodlands Town Centre to better alleviate traffic congestion and in anticipation of a projected increase of nearly 40% in traffic volume by 2050. – AFP pic, May 26, 2022.

SINGAPORE will redevelop and extend Woodlands Checkpoint to alleviate traffic congestion, improve travel time and enhance security, at the land border crossing between the republic and Malaysia.

According to the its Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), traffic volume at Woodlands Checkpoint is projected to increased by close to 40% by 2050.
