MORE than 487,700 children aged five to 11 or 13.7% of the child population in the country have been fully vaccinated under the Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme for Children as of yesterday.
According to the CovidNow website, more than 1.42 million children in the same age group or 40.1% have received at least one dose of a vaccine.
For adolescents aged 12 to 17, more than 2.87 million individuals or 92.5% of the group have completed the vaccination while more than 2.97 million or 95.8% have received at least one dose of a vaccine.
As for the adult population, more than 15.9 million individuals or 67.9% have received the booster dose, more than 22.9 million or 97.6% have completed both doses, while more than 23.2 million or 98.8% have received at least one dose of a vaccine.
Yesterday, 47,612 vaccine doses were administered, with 35,398 as second doses, 4,635 booster doses and 7,579 as first doses, bringing the cumulative number of doses dispensed under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to more than 69.7 million. – Bernama, April 20, 2022.
